GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Position involves loading, delivering, and unloading. Work duties may also include performing cleaning duties and other tasks as assigned. Specifically, the Piano Mover will move pianos in and out of the warehouse, move pianos in and out of private homes, maintain the K44K box truck and moving equipment, ensure company moving paperwork is maintained appropriately and proper payment is collected, and stay on schedule while carefully moving heavy objects. Position is responsible for sound judgment, thoroughness, and competence. When moving, Mover/Driver performs duties at the discretion of the lead piano mover. Most of Mover’s time will be spent in the K44K truck, driving from location to location. Job requires employee to work in various private homes as well at the K44K warehouse. Work will be performed generally 8am-6pm M-F, although sometimes the need may arise to work evenings, early mornings, and/or some weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS AND CAPABILITIES

Technical: Self-motivated and an ability to self-start; Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; Ability to use technology; Well-organized, able to meet deadlines, and an ability to multi-task/prioritize work. Mental: Ability to judge how to move heavy objects in a three-dimensional space; Ability to load and organize a moving truck; Ability to care for and protect objects being moved; Ability to be flexible and efficient with schedule; and Ability to maintain a positive attitude. Physical: Ability to lift up to 350lbs with assistance (We always send movers in pairs of 2-3, and our movers are provided with the necessary safety equipment and moving aids like grand boards, moving straps, steel toed shoes, gloves, etc.); Flexibility to pivot and turn without pain; Stamina to work up to 40 hours per week; Dresses appropriately to represent K44K, and maintains appropriate personal hygiene.
